“My creative vision is reflected in the subtle forms, muted tones, and the quiet, rich  quality of depth in the surfaces of my pieces. The pursuit of these surface qualities requires  consistent experimentation in firing techniques and glaze formulation, bringing me closer to  conveying the conceptual ideas that interest me. Personal history and meditation both inform  my conceptual content, namely history of transformation in the mind and body through experiences of pain in a chronically ill body, collective consciousness, and of deep meditation.  Firing in a gas reduction kiln, I utilize porcelain’s profound symbolic potential to anchor my work; both fragile and resilient, porcelain is a transient material that develops strength  under heat and pressure.”
